Hurricane Florence Response Update #4 – September 14, 2018

  • Colonial’s mainlines continue to operate as normal (Friday)
  • Due to the storm, we are experiencing temporary communications issues with delivery facilities in eastern North Carolina.
  • All preparations for Hurricane Florence to protect our assets were completed prior to the storm’s arrival to the Atlantic coast.
  • Communications with government agencies, including emergency management officials, are ongoing, as are communications with Colonial’s customer terminals.
  • Colonial’s priorities are to:
    • Ensure the safety of the public, including employees and contractors
    • Protect the environment
    • Protect assets from damage and ensure quick recovery if there is impact
    • Provide timely and accurate information to the news media and the public
